ABOUT
The Chesapeake Siberian Husky Club was first established in 1969 with 10 members. The original name chosen for the club was "The Siberian Husky Club of Maryland", but at the request of the AKC, the name was changed to the current name. The Chesapeake Siberian Husky Club is an American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned specialty club. Members of our club come from Maryland, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. We conduct meetings every other month and they are usually scheduled during AKC events. We always welcome new members, or just folks who would like to come to a meeting to learn more about our club and the breed. In addition, we host and sponsor events throughout the year and we invite you to visit our "Events" page to learn about past and upcoming opportunities for fun activities with your Siberian.

Our membership encompasses all phases of owning a Siberian Husky, from the one dog pet owner to the multiple showing/racing kennels and we continually encourage and inform new owners of their responsibilities in owning our beloved breed. Most of our club members participate in conformation, obedience or agility. Many of our members also run their dogs on sprint racing teams in the winter. We are always ready to share our experiences with the prospective new owner of our breed. Our success has been encouraging to all of us, a group of people with one thing in common – love of this great purebred dog, the Siberian Husky.
